Our name comes from the story in Luke 24, where two discouraged disciples walked along the road to Emmaus after Jesus' crucifixion. As they walked, Jesus came alongside them, listened to their hearts, opened the Scriptures, and revealed Himself to them. Their sadness turned to hope, their confusion became faith, and they returned with joy to share the good news.
We believe Jesus still meets people on life's journey today.
At Emmaus Church, our desire is to create a place where people can encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and discover the life He has called them to live. We believe that God changes lives through the work of the Holy Spirit, His Word, prayer, worship, and authentic relationships.
When you join us, you can expect to find:
A Christ-centered church where Jesus is at the heart of everything we do.
Biblical teaching that is faithful to God's Word and helps us follow Jesus in everyday life.
Meaningful worship that draws our hearts closer to God.
A welcoming community where people are known, cared for, and encouraged.
Opportunities to grow through discipleship, prayer, small groups, and serving together.
A church on mission that shares the hope of Christ with our neighbours and our community.
No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we invite you to walk with us as we walk with Christ. Our prayer is that, like the disciples on the road to Emmaus, you will come to know Jesus more deeply, experience the transforming power of His Word, and discover the joy of living for His Kingdom.
Together, we seek to Encounter Christ. Be Transformed. Live on Mission.
